Hitachi Astemo will be Astemo

Since its integration in January 2021, Astemo, an acronym for "Advanced Sustainable Technologies for Mobility", has established its position as a global mega-supplier that provides competitive mobility solutions in the CASE domain. 

In October 2023, its capital structure changed, with Honda Motor Co., Ltd. and Hitachi, Ltd. becoming equal shareholders, and JIC Capital, Ltd. becoming a new shareholder-shifting Astemo from a Hitachi consolidated subsidiary to an affiliate company. 

Building on the accumulated achievements under the Hitachi name, Astemo now aims to further strengthen its brand, and become a leading company in electrification and intelligence of mobility in the Software Defined Vehicle age. 

Within the course of this name change, Astemo will also be introducing the new Astemo brand into the global aftermarket. This market introduction will be supported via various extensive marketing campaigns. The new Astemo brand will be replacing the previously sold Hitachi brand products. The outer box design of the Astemo brand will be close to current Hitachi brand box design, thus ensuring a smooth as possible transition from Hitachi to Astemo brand. Part numbers, products and their quality and any other aspects remain unchanged.
