Difficult screws loosened easily

Fastening screws in hard-to-reach places in the engine compartment takes time and sometimes strength. If the right tool is not available, damage to the vehicle can quickly occur. HAZET has new special releasing tools for such situations.

HAZET, the Remscheid-based manufacturer of quality tools and workshop equipment, has developed its 3/8" injection line wrench set 4550-1718/2 for operating the union nut on the injection valve on the high-pressure line of the common rail injection system. This is suitable for the fuel lines in Mercedes-Benz engines, VW Group vehicles and BMW vehicles. However, the two 3/8" square attachments included in the set are also suitable for other cable glands in sizes s 17 and s 18 mm. The very narrow diameters of the two inserts are ideal for tight installation spaces. In conjunction with a HAZET torque wrench, for example, the HAZET injection line wrenches can also be used to tighten the screw connections to the torque specified by the manufacturer.

The cover of the coolant expansion tank in electric and hybrid vehicles from the VW Group is a completely different type of screw connection that is difficult to operate. HAZET has developed its 3/8" releasing tool 4803-2 to enable this to be released safely and easily. The cover is very difficult to remove by hand due to its low height, its geometric shape and its deep seat in the expansion tank. In the electric VW model ID.Buzz from model year 2022, the installation position also impairs problem-free operation and makes it almost impossible. The use of tools that do not fit properly can easily lead to damage to the container or lid or even injury to the mechatronics technician.

With its precise, narrow ring gear, the robust releasing tool grips perfectly into the recesses of the cover and gives the user the necessary grip. The angled bracket of the releasing tool can be operated by hand or, if required, via the 3/8" inside square.
