ATR International AG restructures management board from 2019 on

Future challenges require distribution of tasks

The Supervisory Board of ATR International AG has appointed Wolfgang Menges and Stephan Bens as Directors of ATR International AG with effect from 1st of January 2019.

Wolfgang Menges, 52 years, has been with ATR already since 1st of June 1997 and is in charge of the purchasing coordination and the cartechnic/private brands department as authorised officer. From 2019, he will also coordinate the finance department and take over responsibility for IT/BI at ATR as Director of Purchasing/Finance.

Stephan Bens, 38 years, will join ATR International AG on 1st of January 2019. As Director Marketing/Digitisation he will be responsible for marketing services, digitisation and data places, public relations as well as national/international association work. Stephan Bens began his career in 1996 with an apprenticeship as Management Assistant in Wholesale and Foreign Trade at Eugen Trost GmbH & Co. KG (later: TROST AUTO SERVICE TECHNIK SE). After various positions as Sales Consultant, Product Manager, Team Leader, Division Manager as well as Deputy Director of Category Management, he moved to CARAT Systementwicklungs- und Marketing GmbH & Co. KG ('AD Germany') as Director of Wholesale & Workshop Concepts for Commercial Vehicle Parts and Purchasing Manager in 2013.

Wolfgang Menges and Stephan Bens will report to Roland Dilmetz, 61 years, who will remain Managing Director of ATR International AG until his planned retirement on 31st of December 2019 and subsequently will be available to ATR in an advisory capacity. From 2020, Menges and Bens will take over the management of ATR International AG in a dual leadership in their respective areas of responsibility.

With this step, ATR sets the course for a generation change in its management at an early stage. The increased variety of tasks and their complexity require a distribution of the areas of responsibility to two board members in order to ensure the successful further development of ATR International AG.
