12 INSIDE ATR ATR World 37th ATR Shareholders’ Meeting in the “Red City” Marrakech A memorable gathering of the ATR community in the heart of Marrakech from 11–14 June This year, we held our ATR Sharehold- ers’ Meeting in Marrakech, known as the ‘Red City’. With its vibrant blend of ancient tradition and pulsating modern culture, the city offered a unique location for our meeting. The bustling souks and impressive palaces create an atmosphere full of colours and energy, reflecting the diversity, connection, and entrepreneurial spirit that unite our global community. We officially kicked off the meeting with a warm welcome reception at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Carré Eden, in the heart of Marrakesh. Set within the lively Guéliz dis- trict, this modern venue provided the per- fect setting for shareholders and partners to gather. Against the city’s unique blend of tradition, culture, and hospitality, the evening fostered meaningful conversations, renewed connections, and valuable net- working opportunities. The second day continued with the annual general meeting, offering an engag- ing day of presentations, business updates, and fellowship. ATR’s CEO Warren Espinoza presented his business report including, among other things, a review of the past business year, key decisions taken, and an update on the latest developments in the APAC and LatAm regions. Wolfgang Menges gave an update on IPAS and ATR suppliers, as well as CV and workshop equipment & tools developments, whereas Henning Kaeß presented ATR’s digital activities and new digital initiatives planned. Our newest members DER Distribuciones, Furacão, SAFE Refacciones, Seri Wathana Enterprise and Vespor Automotive presented their companies to the general meeting. We were also pleased to welcome Almudena Benedito from GiPA, who shared a valuable global outlook on opportunities and challenges in the Automotive Aftermarket in 2026. Furthermore, we warmly welcomed Christian Broggi from SAG as the new Supervisory Board member succeeding Mihály Lieb. We are looking forward to shaping the future together with Christian and express our gratitude to Mihály for his valuable contribution and commitment over the past 16 years. After a full day of insightful presenta- tions, and valuable discussions, our guests enjoyed a memorable evening at the beau- tiful Beldi Country Club in Marrakech, where we had the pleasure of celebrating a special farewell for and with Mihály Lieb. Surrounded by a rose garden, the unique setting provided the ideal atmosphere to strengthen connections within the ATR community, exchange ideas and create new memories. The warmth of the venue, com- bined with the spirit of collaboration and friendship, made this evening truly special. On Saturday, our guests were treated to a truly unforgettable highlight: a sunrise hot air balloon flight over the breathtaking Moroccan desert landscape. Watching the first rays of sunlight illuminate the sur- roundings created a colourful and inspiring experience for everyone. Later that day, we headed to the desert again and gathered for a last wonderful din- ner shared with colleagues, partners, and friends from across the global ATR commu- nity. In this unique and authentic setting, guests experienced the rich flavours and traditions of Moroccan cuisine while contin- uing conversations and strengthening con- nections across the ATR community. As the sun set over the desert, painting the land- scape in vivid shades of red and gold, we could immerse ourselves in a magical Moroccan show celebrating Morocco’s her- itage and hospitality.
